Following several accidents caused by bad functioning of the fall stop device in situations not provided for in the EN 353-1:2002, in March 2010, on the recommendation of the British authorities, the European Commission decided to consider incomplete and unsafe to EN 353-1:2002. For this reason, additional tests have been added to the EN 353-1:2002. Our fall stop devices SKC, SKC KIT and SKC-G have successfully passed these rigorous tests at the APAVE laboratory in Fontaine (France), obtaining the certification according to the requirements of EN 353-1:2002, the relevant articles of prEN 353-1:2008 and CEN/TC160 WG11 RfU11.730 document.
